Sapphire wedding pendant and earrings
This was a lovely recent commission - well five to be precise...
The first was several months ago when we were asked to make a 'Twist' platinum engagement ring with a beautiful deep blue sapphire for a customer who was about to propose. We did, he proposed and she said yes.
The couple, Simon and Lorraine, came to us again not long afterwards to commission their wedding rings. Simon decided on a mixed metal men's wedding band which we made in brushed platinum and 18 carat rose gold. Lorraine's wedding ring was a platinum and diamond fitted ring designed to follow the open curve of her Twist engagement ring.
We found out then that Lorraine loved her sapphire engagement ring so much that she had decided to use sapphire blue as the colour theme for the wedding. The result was one of the most individual, unusual and sophisticated weddings that we've seen and their photographs of the day are so beautiful we wanted to share them with you.
The dress was designed and made by Lorraine with the help of a friend in fashion design and was made from grey and sapphire blue fabric.
Lorraine's jewellery was also made especially for the wedding day – she commissioned a pair of blue sapphire and white gold stud earrings and a pendant to match her engagement ring.
It was a pleasure working with Simon and Lorraine and wonderful to see the images - the result was absolutely stunning, original and beautiful.
