Hand carved marquise aquamarine and tourmaline rings
Last week we finished two cocktail rings with for our collection set with gorgeous coloured gemstones: a bright blue 6.05ct Nigerian aquamarine and a 2.66ct, deep pink, rubellite tourmaline. The elongated marquise shape of the stones inspired the design for the rings. Each ring is one-of-a-kind, carved by hand from wax and cast in 18-carat gold. The colour of the metal used for each ring was chosen to enhance the colour of the gemstone. The aquamarine was paired with 18-carat yellow gold, while the warm grey of white gold was used to bring out the pink rubellite tourmaline's rich hues.
The curves of the asymmetric carved settings echo the marquise shape of the stones. Wide bezels hold the stones securely and are partly open on one side to show off the colour and curves of the gems. These unique handmade cocktail rings were a pleasure to work on. Come and see them now on display in our collection.
