Carved gold cocktail ring with green tourmaline and diamonds
A beautiful pale green Mozambique tourmaline caught our eye at the recent Inhorgenta Fair in Munich and we decided it would be a perfect fit for one of our carved rings. The 6.36 carat stone is beautifully clear and has an unusual colour - a delicate minty shade of green which really pops next to the dull glow of the brushed rose gold setting.
The ring was hand carved in wax and cast in 18 carat rose gold. We then hand finished the metal, highlighting the edges and cutout channel with a mirror polished finish, and used a brushed finish on the outer surfaces to emphasise the gentle curves of the form. Three white diamonds have been set into the channel, tapering down in size to follow the line of the channel.
The carved gold cocktail ring has a sense of flow and movement, it's curves wrap up and around the tourmaline which has been set at an angle across the finger.
This ring is a remarkable piece - definitely one to wear if you like to be noticed! Come and see it on display in our collection.
